#Giving Bark Thursday

Thursday, July 9, 2020

We're inviting you to participate in #GivingBarkThursday; a special 24-hour day of giving. It’s the chance for all of us to stand united to show our support for those who have sacrificed so much. Thanks to a $30,000 generous matching donation from General Ray and Linda Odierno, and an anonymous donor, every dollar you give will have DOUBLE THE IMPACT on July 9.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to resuming our mission to provide a service dog to every veteran and first responder in need. Your gift on #GivingBarkThursday will help us expedite our recovery plans.

Why are we hosting #GivingBarkThursday?

Like all of you, we are dealing with the ramifications of the pandemic which has forced us to change and adapt our programs and daily routines to protect our health and the health of those within our communities. Many of our organizational and community events have been postponed or cancelled, creating a financial impact on our capacity to train and place guide and service dogs with their future handlers. The demand for our services has now elevated to a record high and we need your help.

For a veteran or first responder with disabilities, the isolation and anxiety we have all felt in the recent months can be magnified. These men and women have been patiently waiting for that specially-trained dog that will change their lives and help them conquer the challenges they face.

Why Should I Make a Gift on #GivingBarkThursday?

Unite as a community with other donors and help veterans and first responders live without boundaries.

Can I make a gift before July 9?

Yes! You don't have to wait until #GivingBarkThursday to help individuals with visual impairments and veterans with disabilities.

Is My Gift Tax-deductible?

Yes! America's VetDogs is a registered 501(c)(3). Any donation made at any time where no goods or services are provided is tax-deductible.

How Will My Gift Be Used?

Your donation will go directly towards the services America’s VetDogs provides for veterans and first responders with disabilities.

How Else Can I Help America’s VetDogs?
