What is H.R. 5232 - The Working Dog Commemorative Coin Act?

This bipartisan legislation authorizes the Department of Treasury to mint a three-coin commemorative series to honor the service working dogs provide to society. All surcharges from the sale of the coin will go to America’s VetDogs to ensure that we can continue our mission to provide these life-changing dogs to veterans & first responders with disabilities, at no cost to them.

Why is H.R. 5232 important?
If the Working Dog Commemorative Coin Act (H.R.5232) is passed, all surcharges accrued from sales of the coin will be donated to America's VetDogs. As a national nonprofit, we provide our services free of charge to veterans and first responders. It costs America's VetDogs more than $50,000 to breed, raise, train and place one service dog with a veteran in need. Initiatives like this help fund our mission in helping our nation's heroes live without boundaries.

Sponsor of the bill:  Congressman Patrick McHenry of North Carolina (R)

Our goal is to have the coin in production in 2023...
