– The Founders Group at Morgan Stanley to sponsor a future service dog for a veteran or first responder with disabilities –

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: SMITHTOWN, N.Y., FEBRUARY 14, 2022– In December 2021, The Founders Group at Morgan Stanley announced the sponsorship of a service dog in training through America’s VetDogs, a New York-based national nonprofit that trains and places service dogs with veterans and first responders with disabilities, free of charge.

“The Founders Group could not be prouder of our support for America’s VetDogs, in particular the training of Juno to be a highly-skilled service dog for a veteran or first responder in need.  One of our ‘Core Values’ at Morgan Stanley is to give back generously to the communities we serve with our expertise, time and money.  We hope that our leadership in supporting America’s VetDogs will raise awareness of this worthy cause and encourage others to do the same. Please follow Juno’s progress on Instagram @juno151_avd - John Coyle, Managing Director -The Founders Group at Morgan Stanley”

“We owe a lifelong debt of gratitude to our veterans for their service and sacrifice.  The Founders Group at Morgan Stanley is honored to show our support for our nation’s veterans by sponsoring Juno from America’s VetDogs.  Their service dog programs were created to provide enhanced mobility and renewed independence to veterans and first responders with disabilities.  We hope that Juno is able to be of meaningful, lasting service to a veteran or first responder in the near-future.”  John Peirano, Senior Vice President- The Founders Group at Morgan Stanley

The Founders Group will follow Juno’s puppy raising journey through regular pup-dates from co-puppy raisers Elke Rittenhouse and Deb Elkis-Abuhoff. Juno is a five-month-old chocolate Labrador and is being co-raised by these two volunteer puppy raisers for America’s VetDogs. Her puppy raisers are teaching her basic obedience, good house manners and working on exposing her to different sights, sounds and smells that will shape her into a well-rounded future service dog for a veteran or first responder with disabilities. Juno is an ambitious puppy eager to learn and explore the world around her and is very much food motivated!

“America’s VetDogs is honored to partner with The Founders Group at Morgan Stanley on this life-changing program to raise a future service dog,” said John Miller, president and CEO, America’s VetDogs. “We are truly grateful to Morgan Stanley for not only supporting the VetDogs' mission, but for their dedicated staff of volunteer puppy raisers who provide Juno with a unique and enriching environment that will ultimately mold her into a confident and well-socialized service dog.”
