Every year, America's VetDogs hosts several special events.

VetDogs Hosted Events

7th Annual Annapolis/Kent Island Run & Dog Walk  - April 23, 2017  

The run/walk event leaves from Kent Island High School in Stevensville, Maryland and tours the beautiful Cross Island Trail.  There is an opportunity to participate in a timed 10K or 5K timed race, a 1-mile fun run, or take a 2-mile family/friendly walk with or without a pup.  For more information CLICK HERE or visit Race4Vets.VetDogs.org
 

3rd Annual Long Island Run & Dog Walk - July 29, 2017  

The 5K timed course has been officially measured and leaves from the historic Old Bethpage Village Restoration in Old Bethpage, NY.  Dogs are welcome for those who wish to take a 2-mile leisurely walk with their four-legged friends.  All participants have an opportunity to visit the Museum of American Armor, which is located in the village, before or after the race.  For more information CLICK HERE or visit LIRace4Vets.VetDogs.org

April 1, 2017 – Tea & Fashion Show

The GFWC Varina Woman’s Club is hosting the “Time of our Lives” Tea & Fashion Show with proceeds from the Live Auction to benefit America’s VetDogs. April 1, 2017 – VetDogs & GM Night with the Georgia Swarm

The Georgia Swarm, a professional lacrosse team, is hosting Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 1. GM has arranged special reserve seating, with a unique opportunity to meet some of the players prior to the game. Tickets are $40 for sideline seats and $31.75 for end-zone seats. April 9, 2017 – 11th Annual Spring Breakout Cruise

The Empire Galaxie Car Club announced they will again host Long Island’s longest car cruise to benefit America’s VetDogs.  Tickets for this event sell out fast. The cruise is from Farmingdale to Riverhead and concludes at Orient Point.  After the ride, a lunch is held at the American Legion Hall #803 in Southold. April 22, 2017 – 3rd Annual Friends of America's VetDogs Fundraiser

Join supporters of America’s VetDogs for a 50/50, raffles and Chinese auction. This special event will be held in the St. Lawrence Parish School on Main Street in Sayville (formerly called Prince of Peace Regional School.) Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance. Each ticket offers 26 bidding tickets with an opportunity to purchase additional sheets for $2. April 22, 2017 – Occupational Therapy Graduate Spring Fling & Alumni Reunion

For the fourth year in a row, students at the University of Scranton have selected America’s VetDogs as a beneficiary of proceeds from their annual spring fling. T.J. Hromisn, a veteran and graduate of the University of Scranton, was blinded as a result of serving our country. He received a service dog from America’s VetDogs a few years ago to assist him with everyday tasks. This dinner event is from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. in the DeNaples Ballroom. April 29, 2017 – Petals for Paws

M&C Adventures is hosting a brand new event that is sure to be lots of fun! This event will be held at Baiting Hollow Winery.  A professional florist will instruct participants on flower arranging. Wine tasting with many great raffles will be available too. For information click here.

May 7, 2017 – Electric City Regatta

Students at the University of Scranton, local crew teams and members of the community in Pennsylvania will be participating in this Regatta that supports America’s VetDogs. The races will kick-off at 8:30 a.m. All boats are expected to donate a $20 registration fee. Want to purchase a shirt or reserve lunch? June 4, 2017  – Bike Boat Bike

The Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association is hosting this ride and are seeking donations to sponsor a service dog that will go through the prison program curriculum for a better chance at serving a veteran. June 12, 2017 – ASIS New York City Chapter Annual Golf Outing

ASIS New York City Chapter is hosting this golf outing at the Village Club of Sands Point in Sands Point, NY. The cost to hold spots for a foursome on the course is $1,200. Course signage sponsorship cost is $250. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start.  Dinner only seating is available for $65 per person. June 17, 2017 – 3rd Annual Fat Boy 5K

Off ‘N Running Tours is hosting this run/walk in Long Beach, California to start from Shoreline Aquatic Park. America’s VetDogs will receive $2 for every registered participant. Participants can also choose to fundraise for America’s VetDogs by asking their family and friends to support their efforts. July 29, 2017 – Breakfast at the Brewery

Blue Point Brewery presents a bicycle ride and pancake breakfast. Bicycle Shows U.S. created this 66-mile tour from Manhattan to the brewery with rest stops along the way. The fee to participate is $100 which includes a pancake breakfast. Just want to have breakfast and beer? Pancakes and beer will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the cost to have pancakes/beer only is $15. A $5 donation will be donated to America’s VetDogs for every paid participant.
